Welcome to We Power

Port Washington Generating Station.

We Power is a Milwaukee-based non-utility subsidiary of Wisconsin Energy Corporation (WEC) that designs, builds and owns new generating units.

We support Power the Future, a 10-year initiative to address electricity supply and reliability issues for customers of We Energies in an environmentally responsible way.

Port Washington Generating Station
On July 16, 2005, the first of two 545-megawatt, natural-gas-fueled units at the Port Washington Generating Station achieved commercial operation.
We continue to move forward on the second unit at Port Washington and expect to complete the project in time for the peak summer season in 2008.

Oak Creek Power Plant Expansion
On June 29, 2005, construction began on two 615-megawatt coal-fueled generating units in Oak Creek. These units will be equipped with the most advanced emission-control technology available, making our Oak Creek facility one of the cleanest plants of its type in the United States.
